    GP 1300R Riva Stage II

First of I want to say hi and introduce myself as I am new to this forum. So hello to all!! Now down to business. I currently own a Yamaha FX Cruiser HO. I have been very pleased with it. It handles good (very stable), has relatively decent performance for a big ski and is also a very comfortable and smooth riding ski. But, I am wanting to move foward in the performance dept. I was looking at the new Ultra 250's and got a chance to ride one today and was not as impressed as I thought I would be. Don't get me wrong, it is very fast, but feel way short in handling. My FX Cruiser HO owns the Ultra in handling. This really has me turned off of this ski now. Now with that said, leads me to my question. I've always wanted a GP1300R. They are awesome ski's. Handling, performance and comfort makes this ski a complete package. Also, I am looking at the Riva Stage II performance upgrade for this ski. What type of gains have people been seeing with this package? Will it put it up to par with the Ultra 250? Thanks for any input and sorry for such a lengthy post.

I say ski the Stage 2 Package from Riva.

Do these mods for the same cost and you will rape a stage 2

Milled Stock Head for 150 psi - Depends on Lowells price or someone elses price for milling

VF3 Reed Kit - 500 Dollars, Fercho or Islandracing

Ross Nemo's Sonic Boom Mod - 365 Dollars I think, Contact Ross Nemo

14/20 Dynafly - 220 ish, Riva, 4-Tecperformance, or Island Racing

Modded FF RidePlate from Jim - R&D Plate Cost + Mod, Contact Jim 1300

    Pump Plug Kit - 67 ish, 4-Tecperformance

    D-Plate - 70ish, 4-Tecpeformance

Intake Grate of Choice - 125 or less, 4-Tecperformance

    EFI Controller - 360, 4-Tecperformance

    Jetworks Kit - Island Racing

That right there should have you running way faster than a Stage 2 Riva and cost about the same if setup correctly.

This brings up a good question - is there anyone other than Riva that sells kits?

Not everyone wants to piece things together.

It's quite a bit easier to place one order and get a tasty box of parts that you know were tested to work together.
