    Symptoms of ceramic washer failure

Today my 05' RXT was running fine, 70 mph and 8200 rpm. Then all of a sudden it seems like it doesn't have as much power. Full throttle I'm only getting 52 mph and 6500 rpm now. Is this the symptom of washer failure?

New to the board, thanks for your help!

That would be an affirmative. Your thinking to yourself I wished I'd come here before me ski broke. A $150 investment would have saved you alot.

If the washers go, are they a warranty item? What else is effected, the supercharger impeller? Does anything get ingested into the engine?

    Thanks for your help

    YES.

    NO

YES. You can probably expect total engine failure within 100 hours.

    Thanks for your help

Yes, ceramic debris.

    Thanks for your help

    Answers above.

Take off the intake tube and see if the sc'er impeller spins easily by hand to make sure it's the clutch. There are other possibilities, BUT yours is almost certainly the washers. Fouled plugs and bad gas are other possibilities, but to come on so suddenely right in the middle of riding it's not likely the gas or plugs.

Assuming it is the sc'er clutch:
Start by reading this and then search for TONS more threads about this.

In mine SC I can easily move (not spin) impeller by finger. Is it washers failure?
I'm only getting 54mph at 6650rpm on my 06 RXT bought from second hand...
