Leaking Stiching on 07 RXT seat
I got a new RXT 2 months ago, and have been searching for the cause of a water leak that caused the entire engine to be salty after a ride.
Turns out that the fancy 07 stich work on the vinly seat leaks thru the foam and out the breather holes of the seat surpport over the engine.
Now that I duct tapped the main holes underneath the seat, the engine is dry every time.
Clearly an oversight by Sea Doo for us salt water riders.

You dont take the seat off after riding to dry?

Definately, moisture can corode more than salt. After every ride I rinse, dry, lubricate the throtle body, then CRC everything even the trailer. So Far no corrosion. Thats why its so painful to see the salt build up from the leaking seat. I am glad that problem is now solved.
