    Modded waterbox and strap issue.

Was out yesterday doing speed runs. (finally cracked an 80.2) anyway, after my last run I smelled something burning/melting. Just took a look around the inside and the hold down strap for the waterbox was slowly cooking on top... This happen to anyone else? Is this a prelude to my waterbox exploding? Are the new waterboxes in yet Jerry?!!
Anybody have an extra waterbox strap they want to sell?..pm me

Steve, if that strap was melting then you have a water flow problem. Start doing some digging bro!

Maybe I had the j-pipe pushed down too far? The rear exit was spitting out water pretty good on the hose ANYWAY, I had my WB sitting on a piece of extra rubber I had from my xpl. (didnt want it bare on the hull bottom) I just pulled the j-pipe and WB. No holes, but a nice big bulge on the bottom of it. Like it is getting ready to blow up the rubber mat on the bottom was melting from the back edge of the waterbox to the rear, as was the strap on top.
I am going to drill the 3 holes in the J-pipe, double check all the water lines, and pop in my stock waterbox until I get the new modded box.

Did you put a bung in lately? Check the pisser holes in the J-pipe.

blow thru the water part of your intercooler with your mouth, it is most probably partially blocked with vegitation, causing low water flow
