    First mods...How does this sound?

Thanks again to all the folks on here that are willing to take the time to help. Also the Sticky posts are awesome!!! I knew nothing about the sport as of 2 weeks ago. Lets see what I have learned???

    '07 RXP Stock....

at the 10 hour check up I am thinking about the following....

    1.Oil change

    2. Fill ride plate holes

    3. Riva intake grate $130

    4. RE OPAS block off $309 (is this the best one? Legal pffftt!!! who cares)

    5. Solas Impeller $250 (which pitch?)

    6. Riva power filter $240

    7. Exhaust (need help on this one)

    8. Metal clutch washers (do I also need the ceramic bearings?)

    9. Riva Pump wedge 2" $110

    10. 81mm

    11. Finger throttle $200

    12. SC impeller (GO GREEN) $$$How much???$$$

Anything that can be done cheaper without losing quality?

Anything that just doesnt make sense to do at this time on this set up?

Anything else that would make sense?

Now.... with NO ENGINE knowledge can I do this myself? How much $$$ in tools will I be spending????

Sorry for all the questions, my main hobby is RC Planes.... so If anyone needs help in that arena just shoot me a line.

Save yourself about $100 on the power filter and make your own custom 4" front air intake.
Ceramic bearings for your supercharger aren't essential but they are mechanically proven to last longer.
Tools for the supercharger work are about $100 I believe. My advice is to send it off to someone who has the tools and the skills unless you plan on doing supercharger work often.
RE Block-offs are the best choice for OPAS block-offs.
You can't just run the 81mm ring, you need an adjustable venturi.
If you don't mind cutting a hole in your hull, the thru-hull (riva rear exhaust) is the way to go.
If you do an intercooler upgrade go with a 15/20r 4 blade for the prop. If not you might want to do a 14/19r (it will need to be tweaked).
The green supercharger is looking like a good choice as of now. It's $450.
To change the prop you'll need the $17 solas tool or with the longer version (OEM removal tool) for $32 you can remove the prop with the nose cone still on. You'll need a 12mm allen for the prop too. Other than that you'll need 10, 13, and 17mm sockets, an e8 torx bit, a 1/4 box end wrench.. a few other things i'm sure i'm missing

    6. Riva power filter $240 I would go with the Riva rear air intake. Little more money for alot more performace.

    7. Exhaust (need help on this one) I have the Riva thru hull and love it

    12. SC impeller (GO GREEN) $$$How much???$$$ $450

Anything that can be done cheaper without losing quality? Someone is making cheaper blockoff's and getting pretty good results I believe.
    XO BO's?

Anything that just doesnt make sense to do at this time on this set up?

Anything else that would make sense? SKEGS are a wonderful buy at $100

Now.... with NO ENGINE knowledge can I do this myself? How much $$$ in tools will I be spending???? Yes you can do it yourself if you can change the oil in a car.
Depends on what kind of basic tools you already have.

Those should get you started. I'm sure someone else will chime in with anything I missed.

....If I go with the Riva rear intake I was concerned about water ingestion since I ride in Salt water and love to get wet.... thoughts?

....as far as thru hull exhaust... sounds very scary to cut into the hull.... I would have someone else do this one.... is it THE way to go? Is it very expensive?

....I will most definitley be sending the SC to Jerry for the upgrades. (hi Jerry, I am the newest dumb#$%)

    What about a new rideplate?

The thru-hull frees up the most room and it sounds good.
Rideplates aren't really on the market yet.

You prob would be better off sticking with the power filter then. Better safe than sorry.

I was scared to death when I cut the hole for the exhaust in my ski. But it was well worth in after getting the hear the difference. Click the Online Store button on the top left to look at all the prices. You get 10% off Riva products if you put "greenhulk" as the coupon when checking out.

There are no aftermarket rideplates avaible as of yet

thats what I was thinking about the rear intake... thanks.

So I will do the through hull exhaust. Which one? Will it work with the RE PRO OPAS BO?

also,. If I decide to get the intercooler, do I need a different impeller?
