    Unhappy V-force reed valve stuffers?!

    i hope someone can help me out here, I have V-force reeds on my GP1300r 2006, Its been running great but the last time I was riding it, it started bogging on ideal and I have to open the throttle a lot for the bog to go away but when it ideals again its bogs. anyway I had a feeling that something wrong was with the V-force reed valves maybe broken, after opening them I found out that the stuffers were bent. do you think that was causing all the bogging? can I use the v-force reed valve without the stuffers?!...any ideas?

    I wouldnt think that the stuffers being warped would cause any kind of idle problem.

    Throw the stuffers away, they are know for warping and the reeds will work just fine without them.

    I forgot to say that when I first start it a lot of smoke comes out.. I am still using the stock oil pump.. since it the reeds wouldnt do that any opinions on what might cause it to bog at idle ?

    Your EFI settings on the idle and accelerator circuit could be to high, your oil pump could be 180* out from the keyway install.

    Usually to much fuel or not enough air would be where to look first.
