SS rings for 155hp 4tec engines

Does anybody know where can you get SS rings for the 155hp 4tec engines on a jet boat?

Currently nobody makes them for the 155 hp units.

What's a good replacement impeller for the 06' Utopia? Solas Concord? If so, what pitch?

If I understand it correctly, the SS rings are helpful on the ski's because there is enough movement in the engine to cause the shaft to also move and impeller to contact the ring in some extreme maneuvers?

If this is the case, how likely is a boat to be operated under those same conditions? I guess an S150 could be tossed around a good bit by some owners, but generally I don't see that, especially on the larger models.

Just curious, since I have never had to replace a stock wear ring (except for the time I sucked the anchor rope and steel ball through the pump ), about 120 hrs on an '03 Sportster and close to 50 hrs on an '05

The motor should not move at all. If your motor is moving and thus your impeller is hitting your wear ring, you have a serious problem.

The wear ring is for sand and debris.

The tolerances are setup a bit looser from the factory, but by doing this your pump is not as efficient as it could be. (same goes for pistons).

By adding a stainless ring and a new prop you should create tigher tolerances in the pump and increase your pumps performance. The only downside is that the tighter tolerances mean the ring will wear faster, but the stainless helps alleviate this compared to a plastic (sacrificial) ring.

Sand will eat through any ring pretty quickly, and also dull your prop. Now rocks. That is just pump/prop suicide.

I understand the normal causes of ring wear, however I'm sure somebody on the forum posted about movement in the motor mounts during certain type maneuvers.
