is that in the black box? is it easy to replace? will it make anything else suffer until I get a new one?

    Appreciate it!

It might be overcharging or undercharging the battery as well, you'll have to measure the battery voltage while the engine is running and see if it's in the 14 volt range.

It's a very easy task, disconnect the battery, remove the strap and seperate the box. Be sure to watch all the wires when you assemble the box so that none get pinched.

I had the exact same problem and the guys here told me the same thing. I replaced it and it runs great. Fix the voltage reg. asap. You do not want to zap anything.

    Easy as pie.
    Disconnect the battery.
    Remove strap holding electrical box.
Remove 6 bolts on box and separate.
Watch wires so that you don't pull any loose, even if you do, they are all color coded.
    Remove regulator and install new.
Watch the wires on re-assembly and make sure you don't pinch any while closing the box.
    Re-assemble.
