    '03 1300R cowling removal question

Anyone know the easiest way to remove side cowlings. I'm going to refinish them and already removed the 5 bolts but it looks like I need to remove the entire center black dash panel. Seems the left and right cowlings are fastened to the back side of the center dash panel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Dont want to r&i more parts than needed. Thanks, Chris.

Your not alone....I bet most of us have been where you are now. You have two choices..

Remove the bars and the entire center console to get to the clips.

Or pull close to the clips - about the time you think they are going to break it comes loose.

Dont forget the brackets when reinstalling

Thanks for the reply. You werent kidding about "Just when you think its going to break, it comes loose!" Got them off without breaking them.
