Yeah, I thought the post Richard had was about one he saw at a dealership or something.

there will only be 2500 the first year and most dealers already have deposits on their allotment.

My friend is (supposedly) #3 on the west coast... and he doesn't get his until September.
He did, however, get to ride one last month at the "traveling" road show

I missed the road show man! I wanted to go so bad....They will not be out yet so NO ONE can have one, or at least should have one.

I didn't take delivery of mine yet....due in late September or early October. Got to ride them though. Really different from a bike. No lean in turns so you feel like you are about to slide sideways on the seat. It's natural to keep on grabbing for the front brake lever that isn't their ! Foot brake lever activates both brakes. The one I played with was a pre-production model, so changes are expected. The foot brake lever was mounted too high...easy to ride the brakes unknowingly. That and the very w-i-d-e turning circle were my biggest complaints. The reverse gear sure comes in handy, especially when you find out the road wasn't wide enough to complete that U-turn ! Gas milage is supposed to be in the 45 mpg range and I heard it uses regular. (but with a 10.8 compression ratio I wonder ??) The stock cat muffler is ugly and will be first to go. They are quick enough and will beat 90% of the cars on the road. About as quick 0-60 as a C-6 Vette. It does cool burnouts up to about 30mph. Will hit the tripple digets before the computer cuts in to stop the fun. Feels like more than the 106 advertized hp. I hope the production models don't get de-tuned. I'm anxiously awaiting my Spyder. The fall/winter are the best months for bike riding here in FL anyway.

I was hoping to...talk my way out of having to go see one of these things...I guess there will be a road show in Bluefield in mid July. The mrs wants one...I was hoping the mileage which had been reported was somewhere in the 30 mpg range would be enough ammo for me to shoot this idea down.
45 mpg...hmm...this'll be tougher than I thought. I really didn't wanna travel 3+ hours just for a look see and a spin around the parking lot.
