    Air intake ideas?

Been doing some thinking. This can be dangerous since I have limited knowledge.
When using the Riva power filter, the only downfall seems to be lack of cool fresh air. The PPG system shoves in cooler air. I think most folks seem to agree that a mating of the systems would be great.

    How about this.

Mount an in-line fan at the fresh air intake located at the front of the seat, right under the small compartment. This would shove cooler air into the hull for the power filter to gobble up. Since the air intake is directed at the bottom of the hull, a small splash of water shouldn't be a concern. The air flow would help feed the filter, as well as cool the inside of the hull. The switch could be mounted inside the small compartment.

I'm trying to explain this as best I can, sorry if it seems confusing.

    What do you think

Yea, That is why riva made the hood. For there filter to get fresh air.

I would think the fan would work great also.

If you do it keep us informed.

I have removed both front storage bins and mounted a attwood 3" fan in the front hatch (the plastic between the two bins) and one fan in the rear vent tube. The front fan draws air in nd the rear draws air out. I can keep my engine compartement within 4-6 degrees of the outside temp all summer long. Without the fans the engine compartment temp raises 15-20 degrees above outside temp. I in turn have seen a increase of .5mph on the radar gun and a 50-100 in rpm. two fans, wire, switch/fuse 25.00. I understand that there is an accesory port that the dealer can enable with the buds system that will handle the 6amp draw but I never got that far. i just ran mine off of the battery, and was carefull to turn them on only after the ski was started.

The fan I'm thinking about using is the Atwood. You can look it up on overtons.com

I'm going to do some measuring tonight and see if I can get it mounted where I want.
