    Jetworks Setup Question

Right now I have mine setup to be "stealth" meaning I don't have a water exit on the top side of the hull for the pipe. I goes out the stock pipe exit. I think this is creating too much water pressure at WOT causing the rubber water sleave on the exhaust to buldge, pull out, and spray water all over the place. I have tools on my ski to fix this when it happens and it has only happened once. But since my ski is a 2004 the rubber seems to be in good shape. I ordered another one just in case this one gives me more problems. Either way I want to make sure the stealth thing isn't making the water pressure to great for the rubber cover to hold.

    Now here are my questions...

Do you think it is creating too much pressure like I am guessing?

    and

If I wanted to add an out on the top section of the ski do I use one of these?

    http://www.rivayamaha.com/RivaStore/...ass%20Fittings

    and

Where is the cheapest place to buy one of these and where are you guys installing them?

    Thanks!

I always want the bottom of the stinger to exit at the lowest point. That way when the boat is out of the water, gravity will help drain the pipe.

I have a few stock boats running around out there with only Jetworks and this stelth drain mod and no problems.

Are you dumping any other water overboard ?

I have it setup where it dumps from the bottom of the pipe on the underside so it gets the most water out. Then I have that tube going to the tube that comes out of the top of the pipe. Then it goes from there out the stock out the back "steath" style.

I haven't touched any thing water wise on the ski besides the jetworks.

You should be fine, but if you are worried, you could always dump the rear of the head and/or just the stinger overboard and leave the lower pipe drain in the transom. Remember though, the more hoses, the more places that can leak into the hull.

The jetworks install was easy. I did it Fercho style, do a search, with the kit from island racing. Except I put the drain on the bottom of the pipe.
