    Lets play a game

    Scenario:

    1. You must run your Pro 785 on Saturday (meaning 6/30/07).

    2. If you do not, you will cease to exist.

    3. You have an HSP one piece cylinder head for your Pro 785

    4. You are missing one outer O-Ring for the head, and no vendor can get you the piece by Saturday (It looks as though you will cease to exist)

    What would you do?

    Other important notes:

-Ruining/wrecking the boat is not an option, it is more important than the person in the game, so if nothing can be done and the boat cannot run, so be it.

-Extensive hardware store is at our disposal

Its just the outer water seal? If so go the the parts store and buy O-Ring cord stock and make one. They sell kits to splice the cord together. Or you could just run a bead or silicone in the grove and put the O-Ring in when you get it. Or bolt the stocker back on if you still have it. Or drive to CT and I'll hook you up and we can test and tune both PROs at the same time I am going to splash the SLT this weekend...

Nah, more like destroyed or eliminated as a problem by way of drill bit and excessive force.

I see you already found your solution, but fwiw, I have had NAPA make me an o-ring on occasion. They just superglue cord stock together. It won't last very long, but it got me through a weekend when I couldn't find a Malossi carburetor o-ring....
