If you have been using it at 40:1. I would would stick with that ratio since it is tuned for it.

Use what Amsoil recommends for their oil.

50:1 is less oil than 40:1. I'm using interceptor on my gsx @ 40:1 & i'm sure that has saved it from squeeking several times while tuning it in. BUT, then again I do get a lot of "black blood" dripping from the raves at times when I add a bit too much oil to the pre-mix, 1-2 oz too much makes a difference.

You need to follow what the oil manufacturers recommend, not what Castrol (who makes XPSII) recommended for our Doos. Amsoil has superior lubricating properties, hence their recommendation of 50:1. You will use less oil, and get better performance than mixing 40:1 with it.

It can be possible, I've heard a rich fuel mixture makes them spew too.

IMO...any piped setup is going to spew...just too much exhaust pressure produced by the higher rpms. The bellows just wasn't designed for the higher pressures.
