    hesitation of acceleration?

Ok so i have a SL 750 motor in my SLX 780 ski cause the 780 suffered a blown piston before i bought it just got it together and tested it out on the lake and a few times it had a bit of hesitation to accelerate. like almost a bogg down or something and other times it would rocket off like normal??? is it Flooding or Starving or what?

    Thanks a ton

Which carbs are you using on the 750 engine?

The 780 carbs were probably too rich.
What happens if you try to accelerate with the choke on?
Maybe pinch the fuel return line and see if that's better? You need to determine if you're rich or lean, the two tests above should help us determine this.
Careful on the WOTruns until you know you're not lean, I'd hate to see you burn another hole in a piston.

Is it hesitating and taking off, (usually rich) Or is it falling on it's face, wanting to stall? (usually lean). The bottom "T" screws are the low adjusters.

Go to the tech section and look up the article tuning tips for rookies, follow the direction and you should get her just fine.
