Does you ski smoke on the trailer?

I was wondering how bad some of your's ski's smoke on the trailer? I have 2 ski's
One of them had a starter bendix put in it, the other did not. Both had power valves replaced. One ski smokes pretty good on the trailer, the other burns clean. I have checked the oil lines and they all are tight.

BOth skis run real good and I have rode them for a while. So I know it is getting oil but why doesn't it smoke like the other one does? Could I start it and turn the oil pump to see if maybe the other one is adjusted a little for more oil at idle? The other one is the one that had the front cover off.

This is the reason I am asking you about the smoking to see which one is not normal?

One smokes alot, one dont smoke at all. go figure! In the water I dont see smoke from either one, BOth run 54 mph and I have ran them Wide open for miles and miles so I know it has to be getting some oil.

I left the gas on both ski and towed them, maybe one has it leaking a little? IS it normal to smoke alot on the trailer? These skis are oil injected!

When the mosquitos get too thick in my garage I fire up the ski and smoke em out.....I run amzoil and it smokes on the trailer...when running across the water there is no smoke, but idleing like 10 min it wants to smoke a little but not much. I would be more worried if it did not smoke ,at least when its smoking its getting oil.

The smoker may have the low speed screws adjusted a tad richer than the other ski. No problem, as long as you aren't fouling plugs.

Could be the oil pump adjustment cable also. Never hurts to have a look. On the 1200's its in front of the front cover. Not sure about the 800
