    Upgraded Ignition-Programmable?

What can I do with the serial connector on my new ignition module in the electrical box?

If you have the correct tool you can advance or retard the timing roughly 2 degrees each way.

My ski is running great but the speedo tops out at 50 where before it would hit 54. Could the setting on the new ignition be the difference?

And what is the correct tool and where can I find it?

Also, when guys talk about burning pistons, is that mostly a concern of the guys racing or pushing their skis really hard all the time? Does a recreational guy like me need to get too concerned about it?

Did you also have the stator installed witrh the kit? If so, it's very possible the timing is not set correctly.

I'm not sure of price or availability anymore butI purchased mine from Jay at Atlantic Powersports in New Jersey, maybe give hime a shout?

The most common ski with the "holing issue" is the Fuji engine, due to poor fuel delivery. The Domestic engine (your type) usually only happens during the modding/tuning procedure, such as triple pipes etc.
Make sure your fuel system has a GOOD filter, no restrictions (bent over fuel lines) and use good octaned fuel.
