Can you reuse the head gasket?
I want to remove the center layer from my head gasket. Can I reuse the one that is on it now or should I buy a new one.

maybe, a lot of us do reuse them but you really shouldn't
I now always keep a spare around just in case I need to remove the head
everytime you rebolt down the gasket it compresses it some more - eventually (3 or 4 times) it won't seal propoperly

It's not recomended... I used it once, and had all it did was leak.
It's best to get a new gasket.

best to keep 1 or 2 on hand. Not worth the leaking external or even worse internal leaking?? My time is worth 40 bucks and possible engine damage
