    sc belt guage

    will any belt gauge work or should it be the kawi one, b/c of the tight spaces? any brand suggestions?

    I went down this road too. Problem is you don't have a tension spec, therefore you're stuck buying their guage for now.

    plus it's only 40 bucks...split it with your neighbor 250x buddies.

    worth it

    its worth it, i think i am gonna wanna keep an eye on the belt a little more

    Belt Tension should be between 500-960Nm as per the Service Manual. So I'd look for about 750Nm.

    Holy crap. Did i completely miss that? Yep, sure did....eesh.

    Oh well, most affordable deflection guages measure force in lbs not in Newton Meters anyway. It's too late for me and will be here tomorrow. I guess i can afford it and do it like the factory.

    Yeah, plus it's a decently tight area, I know I wouldn't be able to use the gauge we have at work cause it's too big.

    I'm going to test tension with my right index finger, it's calibrated to most standard torques and tensions
