Can you help me figure out this supercharger dilemma?
A friend has a 2004 Stage 1 RXP. He sucked a small rope and carabiner up into his air intake trashing his sc impeller. He bought a new supercharger and then I took his old one off and put the new one on. (The washers on the old sc held and didn't bust apart when the carabiner damaged the impeller.)
Here's the problem: you can hear the new supercharger spooling up but top RPMs are only in the upper 6000 to near 7000. What is going on and what needs to be checked/fixed? Thanks for any thoughts and ideas.

Danny, the new sc came complete and already built so I took the old one off and put the new one on.
CRS, how do you tell if it's a 185 hp sc?

hmm Stage one RXP? How the heck do you suck up rope and a carabiner into the intake. I this is a front intake Was he running this without a filter. I am not undestanding how a rope can get sucked up in their. If there is a K and N filter on there should not be any chance of getting anything in there.
Can you tell us where it went in at, just trying to understand.
or was it a riva rear intake and he didn't have is water proof filter on?
