    RXP Full Throtle RPM??

2005 unmodified RXP - I just replaced all 3 plugs because two of them failed after 10 hours. Engine idles smooth and seems to be running strong but I can usual do 70 (RXP gauge) with no problem. All I could get today was 55. At full throttle max RPMs was 63500.
What should full throttle RPMs be?

Full throttle should be 8,000 rpms, look to the left and click on SC Clutch Failure sounds like the ceramic washers let go.

If it's still under warranty and you have no mods, yes, it might be easier to get it fixed by the dealer when the motor locks up. the dealer has to drop in a new motor and you are good to go. If you have no warranty, and keep riding it you will have to buy a new ski by the end of the weekend.

I'm still under the three year extended warranty but I don't want to break down when I'm out. I hate going to my dealer, Colemen Power Sports, they've screwed up the last two times they worked on my Yamaha GP1200 plus I'll probably loose a month of ride time. The RXP only has 23 hours on it.
    Thanks for the help.

when the stock ceramic SC clutches fail they deposit debirs in the oil pump & strainers. This will lead to a sub par performing oil pump (scored rotor) & you will blow the engine $4500+ repair. You should not run the boat IMO with bad washers. Make sure your dealer pulls the motor & removes the PTO cover & inspects the oil pump & strainers otherwise you will be runing on barrowed time. After you get the ski back order some metal washers from the online store in my sig ( its Jerrys store, the guy that runs this site) & put the steel washers in & you will never need to worry about it again
