    What's the best non thru hull exhaust setup??

    I just bought a new rxp 2 days ago and i want to free up the exhaust. It is under warranty for 2 years and i would like to keep it that way. Or at least be able to return it to stock. What are the best mods for the exhaust if i dont want to do a thru hull?????? thanks

    Just take out the silencer and put a pipe between the hoses and u do just fine, sounds almost the same as a thru hull to...

    You'll most likely need a 90° fitting along with the straight pipe to replace the silencer because it comes with a 90° bend on the newer skis.

    I don't believe there have been any performance gains agreed on by changing exhausts. The thru-hull makes more room and the other options along with the thru-hull increase the sound of the exhaust.

    It all depends on the dealer. Some will let you some wont call and ask. Theres some guys on here with Stage 3 Rxp's with warrantys.

    warranty is good unless aftermarket part is the cause of the warrantied failure:::

    another good reason why people change their exhaust system is to get rid of the rubber hose. I have heard that it gets mushy over time and can fail allowing water into your hull. especially if you plan on installing an aftermarket sc wheel. More boost = more heat= faster deterioration of the stock rubber hose...PR...

    The thru hull is the way to go if you are a mod-type person. I know it is not a good feeling to drill a hole in your hull, but the more you wrench, the more you will appreciate not having to mess with the exhaust to do every little thing. Plus, it sounds meaner than any other set up. Not louder, just meaner.
