Thread: Intake Tube

I wonder what would happen if we make a 3inch aluminum intake tube for the rxp/rxt with a riva filter. I have the equipment and benders to make it. I might try it out, it would look pretty sweet to. Need some input here. I wonder if we increased the hoses on the intercooler would it help. Make a bigger aluminum tube to the engine. I have all the aluminum welding tools, tig and mig, plasma, etc. Could do some nice work. Also thinking about making some Aluminum OPAS blocks. Leave it in the aluminum color. Input needed.

just kidding, search the forums for "intake" and you might find some interesting stuff.
I'm going to try to fabricate a rear seat intake with a water seperator.
I think this is the best option for water free direct air.

My only concern would be the aluminium conducting more heat than the polymer plastics used by Riva.
Heat wrapping would be a solution though...

If you go aluminum wrap it!

Wrapping it is always safe.
Sometimes depending on how many times it's been around it's good to wrap it twice for extra protection.
Wait are we talking about intakes....
