New top speed 85.8mph.
Could not bust 86, even after I let it cool down from the first run. Best run ever for me. Great RAD, air temp 64 degrees, 2 gallons of gas, 800 grate, max speed Kerry handling, superman. The OEM speedo showed a 91mph at the GPS 85mph 7910 rpm's.
Great thing about the runs today, the rpm's did'nt drop significantly. I only dropped 40 rpm's from the first run. I kept 2 cans of 2 gallons half & half gas mix for testing today. The pull is gone after a few changes that Kerry told me.
Air cleaners off, front bucket out, superman, cannot think anything else...except, it will get to 80 mph like nobody's business. I hit 85 sitting on the seat.
Florida boys are flying.
85.8 mph GPR big bore is still King

OK, when I ask this...please don't think I'm flaming or being a smartass...because I honestly don't know...
What is the reliability factor of 2-stroke motors tuned this way? Going strictly on assumption, I would think that they would be short-lived.
Congrats on that HUGE number...I'm sure it took many hours of "sweat equity" to get there...

Short-lived compared to 4 strokes longevity for sure..but not as bad as some might think. I put 53 hours on this superstock, modified GPR last year. I am sure if I would have gotten to 100 hours, I would have been gambling on a blow up.
The triples pipes and porting will decrease the life of your engine.
But now that the season has started, I expect this beast to last me the rest of the year and then re-build it next winter.
Hope that answers your question.
