    trim motors

Is the trim motor on a 95 slt the sam as a 01 slx? On partsland they look the same but have different part numbers (I think they change the speed of the motor correct?)

    Thanks

I pulled mine apart. the gears inside got chewed up because the pin that hold the trim lever and spring together shifted out far enough that it hit one of the bolts that the motor mount to the hull with.

ive changed trim motors..and that metal trim motor that has the motor attached to it.is completely sealed...it bolts down into the bottom half of the box with a gasket....and underneath is a white gear with a spring and a pin ..
