Any gains from Iridium plugs?
Are there any gains to be had from running the Iridium plugs? I have heard you don't have to J-gap them, so are they a bolt-on rpm gain?? Anyone have any before and after rpm numbers?

I tested them against the stock plugs a long time ago and got no rpm gain. They did tend to run a little "cleaner".

I have seen that they are safer when running lean .(they didn't melt as fast)

Yep, the gain was......didn't have to replace them once all season

newer findings is that you must run them at a higher gap to see improvements other than smoother running (warning:bend the ground electrode back,do not not force the gap wider with a gapping wedge tool) ..see my recent thread link posting in old school for further thoughts ..
link is from a ducati forum discusion on iridiums..
just food for thought..
