what does this piece do? RXT

    hey guys,

so i'm getting into change my SC washers. There is a big pipe with foam inside, connected to the seat support. The seat end is open to the air, and other end appears to be as well.

    what does this pipe do?

i think this pipe is incase you capsize, compleatly upside down, it prevents water going into the hull from the under rear seat vent, many of us are not useing them, cos theres not enough space to put them back after mods, ive yet to here from anyone turning there ski upside down for any lenght of time, to see if they had lots of water inside, hope this helps bill.

Jetskibill is correct, they are just to stop the engine compartment from filling with water if left upside down. Your ski would never be upside down for that long, if it was, it's cause you are drowning. And who cares about your ski if your drowning in the lake!

It's also your only intake for fresh air into the hull.

This pipe gives you a good reason to install a 4" attwood bilge blower to suck out the heat from engine compartment & bring in "cooler" fresh air from the front intake.
Do a "search" on "heat fade/bilge blower"
