Polaris 750 Engine Racing out of control

I just installed a brand new sbt engine. Changed everything (fuel lines, water lines, gaskets, ect...) put it all back to gether and it starts great. Only problem is that after 10 seconds of idling, it races out of control at high rpm. the throttle cable and buttle fly throttle piece do not move. Any ideas?

    Air leak.

Double check all your flange and hose connections. Carbs, reeds, etc. Anywhere that can let air in besides the carbs.

    And welcome to the forum!

Polaris 750 Engine Racing out of control

Question then: I tighened up everything that has a gasket. Is there supposed to be a gasket between the reeds, motor and manifold: ( motor, gasket, reed, gasket, manifold) ?

You should just call them as to not damage that engine and warranty.

If you've checked all the small stuff, it could be a leaky seal.
