    Do i need to change wear ring?

    96 gsx runs great but hole shot full throttle rpms rev tp 7000 takes a few mins then gets up an goes ?prop looks good havent pullled it yet i think its org wear ring ....let a friend use it last week an he sucked up some sand i was told sand will grind down that werar ring big time plastic ,or shoul i be looker for other problems full throtle 7000 doing 63but out of hole sucks hope to get some feed back an if i take wear ring out any other parts will i need to buy? thanks the River Rat!

    yes you need a new wear ring..more than likely that is all the problem you are having

    also check your shaft seal
