    can powervalve cables be put on backwards??

    counter clock wise is open right? so at idle they should be all the way clockwise?

    Correct. Looking at the face of the pulley from the back of the motor, the pulley should be all the way clockwise to be closed at idle.

    The cables should be connected as shown >

    Oh yeah. They can be put on backwards. It wasn't me, but I know a close friend that spent a few hundred dollars looking for the issue.

    well, they were on backwards. I got them right.
