96 slx 780 motor mount problem

Went riding this saturday , in about 1hr. into the ride the ski stay running but the ski would not move I thouggh some thing was in the jet pump but noning in it. Tow it to shore and start it back up and I was thinking it was in the saff or coupler , got it out of the water on the trailer look again and start it back up and it was the engine two of the motor mounts were broken from the carb. side so how do I go about fixing the problem . Do I have to take out the motor to replace them and also do I need to pull the pump to check the coupler out ? thanks

Engine has to come out to replace motor mounts. The jet pump needs to come off the remove the driveshaft. So yes, they both need to be removed.

I'd remove the drive-shaft/pump assembly and then see if you can lift the engine high enough on that one side for mount replacement.

So my next question is when I lift up on the engine the two mounts how are they attach to the hull with glue? I my guess should I do all four or not? and if I do like you said , just take out the pump and lift up on the engine how are the shims in there if I loosen the motor mount nut is the shims under there in a certain order? If I get the motor mounts replaces with not problem , do I still need to realign the pump to the motor? thanks

There are bolts holding the mounts to the hull and of course a nut holding the engine plate to the mount.
I'd replace all four but that's just me.
You will need to align the engine no matter what you do. Save the shims in their current location and maybe you'll get lucky........not.
