    D-plate

    Do some d plates have a round circle cut out in the middle?

    Jet-Works makes several plates with diff round holes. I think RX951 is using one in his 1200.

    I am not sure but I think that Yamaha made the D-Plate D inverted to block any water from passing thru the exhaust to the cylinders in case you flip the ski and to allow any water to exit in the upright position.

    Never thought about that! Makes sense.

    Well the one I'm looking at has a circle directly in the middle of the plate, not the normal d cut to one side.

    I've never done a back to back on this. I don't think anyone ever has. But, I do know it works great on my ski. I also had it on my wife's 2002 EFI conversion. It ran 67.5 in the heat. Stock compression.

    If I had an extra stinger ready to go with this in it, and had the time, I would love to do a back to back.

    It ain't gonna hurt it. My ski ROCKS !

    Oh, I also have the one with the smaller hole as well. I've had it on my ski since day 1. I actually didn't know I had an O-plate in there until 2 years later when I took the pipe out to peek in. I assumed it had a D-plate. becasue at the time, I took a quick peek and didn't see the honeycomb.

    * F.y.i., the hole measure 4 1/8" in diameter.
    Maybe some math GURU can calculate the area of this circle and the D-plate(s) from RIVA and R&D.

    Plate is the same thickness as the D-plate. RIVA or R&D.
