    99spx question???

    Anyone have any thoughts about the accell pump on the 99spx? I never liked them on my xpls and my 96 xp doesn't have one.

    If I yank it, can I go the same jetting as a stock 96xp?

    So, RQ I will be able to do 75pilots 145 mains and 2.0 N&S with proks?
    Might aswell hua?

    Yep...with 80 gram springs too...

    You might not need that rich of mains though...maybe BT will see this thread cause he is the guru of stock or slightly modded stuff.

    What if the Accelerator pumps arent deleted? I am gonna try to run them on my 96xp. I have a nice set of 99spx carbs
    I have them set up with [email protected]
    2.0 NSs with 80 grams
    72.5 pilots
    145 mains
    Hs's 1 turn out
    Ls's 3/4 out.

    I have to prime the hell out of the engine to get it started. It acts like its not gonna start and all of a sudden it will fire up fine. It seems like the the pop-off may be a touch to high. I may try 60 gram springs. I may try turning out the LS's out too a little more. However it idles strong once i get it running. Also blipping the throttle i have a very brief hesitation. What is confusing is I don't know if the accelerator pumps are causing a rich condition or the butterflies are making the mixture too lean.

    Any suggestions from someone who may have ran proks on a 98 or 99 spx with accelerator pumps would be appreciated .
