Help No speedo, or temp and display says sensor??

Ok so my speedo and temp guage quit working. Now the display reads sensor??? I dont think it has anything to do with the motor, The ski runs fine. I wanna be on the safe side though. I'm hopping Shibby, or Jerry knows how to fix this. I'm assuming a sensor has gone bad, possibly the one at the rear of the ski the paddle wheel speedo thingy? IS the temp sensor built into that aswell??

hit set button five times and get the P number - bet you there's a break or disconected wire to speedo/temp unit.

Get it hooked up to buds at a dealer. It should tell you what is wrong the mpem probably lost it's program. unplug and replug all of your wires. Especially the grounds @ battery and the front of the motor.

IF I disconect the batt will it reset the computer? I hate like heck to take it to the dealer, they would make me make an appointment, then it would sit till they got a round to it. I try to fix all my own stuff unless its something I cant. Anyway else to read a code besides the dealer?

disconnecting the battery won't due a thing. which temp is not working Etemp. if its that one then thats your intake temp. if your speedo doesn't work its usualy your sensor in the back is dead. still not sure why people even replace that seeing it is no where near accurate

I had/have a similiar problem. I got the "sensor" message and ski wouldn't start. Then I got the P 1517 code... The battery cables were loose. Ski runs fine except I still get the sensor message, and my speedo doesn't start moving until i get to about 35-40mph, then it jumps up. I also now see 0.0ft on my dash. I guess this is the depth reading. Funny thing is, I never had this before and I dont have a depth gauge.
