    Running Woes

    My symptoms:
    Poor acceleration
    Hesitation
    Loss of RPM's

So I spent another few days wondering why I couldn't get my carbs dialed on the stage II Matrix.
I had similar issues with Liz's Matrix and it wound up plugged fuel filters in the carbs were the problem.
Well suprise to me, Novi's (modded Mikuni's) have the filters on the other side of the carbs, NOT with the jet blocks.
Sooooo just because you have an in-line filter it doesn't mean you're going to keep the fuel clean to the carbs.
    Fuel algea is a bitch!!
Guys/Gals it's vital to make sure the fuel systems are in proper working order before trying to troubleshoot a poor running condition.
I see, read and hear about daily running problems and most have to do with a fuel restriction of some sort.

If applicable check the fuel tank and/or strainer for water.
Pull the carbs and make sure they are free of debris, take the time to pull and clean the filters inside the carbs.
Flush the hoses and passage ways of the carbs.
    Check the needle and seat.
    Check Pop Off Pressure.
    Check Fuel Pressure.
    Am I missing anything??

Back to the basics of troubleshooting, how easy can it be? LOL

Indeed, I guess I thought my fuel and tanks were special and didn't require me cleaning the filters.
