    Over propped?

Quick recap: 99 XL1200ltd, rebuild motor with about 7 hours on it now. It has a free flow exhaust, d-plate, r&d plate and grate, jet works mod and I just got the head milled (jim's performance, 92 octane). The wear ring and impellor are both new, so it is a nice tight fit. Also have a pump seal kit.
I fixed the issue I had with the power valve servo, but I still don't get any hole-shot. I hooked up my tiny tach to it this weekend and max RPM I could get was 6800. So it looks like the 13/19 is a tad to steep for it. Should I go to a 12/18 or is there something else I could look at first?

Did you do anything on the intake side - F/A's and a rejet ?

I did adjust the screws per instructions with the d-plate, but nothing else on the intake side.

You might want to talk to Jim about that. With the increased compression you need more fuel.

Does sound like you are over-prop'd....but check the exhaust manifold or front pipe section...they are notorious for harline cracks on the '99 and '00.

put the 12/18 on, .. unplug your servo and open the valves all the way. then do a wot run and see waht rpm you get.plug the servo back in.....then adjust t-handles accordingly. you should be above 7000
