    Trailer Bunk Carpet

Where is a good place to get the carpet for the trailer bunks?

What do you guys use just regular 2by4 wood or some treated wood?

    Thanks

try: www.Denniskirk.com - not sure there...

and yes use treated lumber... Your prolly better off finding the whole bunk covered and ready to go, for the same price as the carpet/lumber...PR...

I bought some at Lowe's building supply, cost like $8 for more than enough to do 2 bunks. This is less than half price of boat supply houses.

    Is it a special carpet?
What size did you get? (length, width, etc.)

Lowe's has several types of carpet that people use for bunks. The indoor/outdoor stuff for use around a house is not the best choice. They have a couple of types of marine carpet, one is like a loop pile, the other is a cut pile that is similar in appearance to automotive carpet, that is the best stuff because it's slick so a ski will slip off easier and won't scratch the hull nearly as much as any other type. It's around $4.50 per linear foot 8ft. wide. Hope this helps.
