ski rocks side to side after 75 mph

It gets worse, until I can't control the ski. this inly happens in SUPERMAN, and it dosen't happen when Mike rides it. I think I am getting further back than he is.

anyone know what I should do to get it running straight without the wobble?

I weigh 200, and I think I'm making the nose comeout of the water more because how far back I am, but why the left to right rock? the rock comes from the back, and like I said as it gets faster it gets worse. I tried to hold on as long as I could to see if it would go away, but it wouldn't.

Am I just man handeling the buck? because I'm so far back and have all my weight back their instead of bucking up and down, it's going left to right?

    James

It sounds like what you are describing is "chine walking" my ski does it at about 30 MPH but goes away as fast as it starts.

If you move up does it go away?

Do you have tabs on your ski?

Maybe there is not enough of the tab in the water to stabilize it? Does the ski have a sgegged or skegless plate on it?

I am kind of grasping at straws here. I have never heard of this condition at high speeds before.

my chine walk at 30mph went away with the R&D full lenth tabs.Dont know what it will do at 75mph,but its worth a try just for kicks. Or, you could always lean to one side like tommy jordan does.

I had the same problem. Adding .050" shims under all 4 corners of the tabs took care of it on my ski.

I keep .100 under tabs. .050 still bounced. plate angle 1.025.. Im 215 so were close there, if i do a stretch superman it will start to bounce just a little, but thats when my toes are touchin the water, so i dont do that.. I feel much safer just doing the squat and duck..

It's really, really happy, and wants to go faster, but your big ass is holding it back, so it's trying to throw you off.

I've heard of this happening on a lot of GPRs but it hasn't to me yet. With or without pressure relief and or tabs. Other then at 30 or less. I weigh 220 and 6'3''.

Yea flyboy if you put 60 thou up front in tabs and around 120 in rear this should help but if that plate is angled to high you will need more shimms in the tabs. Ross have you tried lowering that angle a bit and see if you got some speed gains
