    harmful? or not ?

    guys i have this little diy way when i flush my jet ski out before i connect the hose i put a little dish soap in the connections then connect the hose turn the ski on and turn the hose on for first 10 sec or so suds come out the back i let it run for 5 - 10 min till clear i guessing it fully rinses away the salt ..... am i damaging anything ?

    I've never tried it, but I dont see how it would hurt anything.

    Just dont let the water run without the engine running.

    I've done this myself. So far so good no problems that I can see.

    I usually stop at a local coin operated wash and rinse the engine bay and ski off after riding in salt, then go home and do the soap thing for the insides.

    I think salt away would be better, but soap and water is better than nothing IMO.

    Use some Dishwasher soap. It`s the same as using Salt-Away, but less money with the same results. Thank WayTooFast for this little gem of a tip...
