    Check Engine Warning...can't figure why

Hi Guy, first let me say this is a great site and I have learned a lot.

Now on to the problem. I have owned my rxt for 2 weeks now and everything has been smooth sailing so far until now.
I took my ski out today and everything was fine for the first hour or so. didn't really run it hard. Just crusin around with my wife under 40 mph, no wot bursts.

After stopping for about 20 mins we started heading back. I ran it a little harder maybe 3/4 throttle. That's when the check engine light came on. I immediatly stopped and shut the engine off. I checked the coolant resovoir and it seemed low but engine did not appear hot.

I put the key back in and started it up. NO warning at this point. When I "wack" the throttle the check engine comes back on.
I get back to where my car is and shut down to give it a full look see. nothing out of the ordinary.

I put the key back in and everything is fine until I get hard on the throttle or make an agressive turn. Now keep in mind the engine is running fine and I even got it up to 65 according to the speedo just like always.

What should I check for. Oil level is fine. Temps seem fine.
    any help is appreciated.

    no.

I forgot to add that I did have two incidents last week that has me worried.

The first time I took it out I capsized at a really slow speed. Dumb rookie I know. Flipped it back over and it ran fine the rest of the weekend.

The next day I ran aground over a seaweed patch and I tried to power out. The engine temp warning went off and I shut down right away. After letting it cool off and pushing it back into deeper waters it started right up and again ran perfect the rest of the day.

I have a friend at the local dealer tell me to disconect the battery for a while to let the cpu memory clear and see if it still does it.

BTW I used to sell these things for a living...how embarrasing.

what year is it??? If it is an 05 you can hit the "set" button 5x and it will give you the PO code.... sounds like you are having some problems though..... no clue how you capsized it... thats tough to do on purpose with a couch.... but you shouldn't have this problem.... if you pull the ceramics out, these skis have been called bulletproof....

Sounds like you've sucked some of the seaweed up into the exhaust cooling system.

    Exactly!

You pulled a bunch of crap into the exhaust cooling system and plugged up the spray holes

not to sound dumb but how do I clean it out properly...what should I do.

it sounds like the seaweed clog is probably it.

yes everytime.....although i think i did not do the order properly.
    Will this cause serious damage?
Last time I flushed I turned on the hose before starting the motor. Though I did shut off the water before turning the engine off.

you have like one sec to hit the start switch when you do that, not reccommended...always fire the ski up and immediately turn on the water...
you should be getting decent amount of water out of the exhaust outlet and decent amount of water out of the pump/steering nozzle area...when flushing...PR...
