Solid front engine mount
I replaced the front engine mount (Piranha) to help prevent prop wear against the SS wear ring, but I hope it was actually necessary. In my 150, I've got the same engine mount as an '06-07 RXP/RXT (#270000690), and I really couldn't imagine it being any more solid than it is. It looks like there's a lot of rubber, but the best I can tell, it seems to be solid steel all the way through. The '05 skis had an engine mount with a different part number (#270000635). Is it possible that the older mount was softer, and the newer '06-07 is pretty much a solid front mount in itself? Anyone else done this mod with a newer ski feel this way?

The picture is the same as my 06 RXT. The steel piece inside the rubber surrounding is a thread insert for the motor mounting bolt and it does not connect to the base. The Piranha mount is not a solid steel mount, there is some vibration damping through the rubber surroundings, but a lot less than the factory mount.
