    Carb Question

On my SL750, when I remove the flame arrestor and look inside of the carbs when the engine is running, what should I see?? Should I be able to see the fuel entering the carbs? I think I have a flow problem but I dont understand, very well, how the carbs work. Thanks.

Check your pop off, it may be the needle and seat is worn allowing the fuel to enter the venturi.

You should see fuel spraying into the engine when you hit the throttle. No spray, no fuel. If it's dripping into the engine you have needle/seat issues.

Is there a way to rule out the fuel pump first? Also, if it is a needle/seat issue, are carb rebuild kits what I need?
By the way, when I look in the carbs, I see no fuel at all. Cylinder 2 is the only one that will run and It dies at about 1/4 throttle.

Due to age and how cheap they are, I would replace the fuel pump (or rebuild it) and install new fuel lines. Check your filters (including inside the carbs). Needles and seats are sold seperately from rebuild kits.

at idle you will not see fuel flowing when looking down and be careful not to run with only one cyl because you will damage the others
