    Carburetor Jetting ~ Help

Need help with carb jetting and adj. with these modifications. D-Plate & Chip, Air Filters, Acel. pump removed, oil pump removed, and oil mixture 50:1. Idle is fine. Boggs up to 4000rpms, 4000rpms and up runs great. Any suggestions or known fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum, You did not post what kind of ski but i see you put a d plate. So i guess it's an gpr 1200 if that is correct (pilots 110) (mains 120) 1.5 needle and seat and 95 gram springs. Start at 1 turn on lows ans 1.5 turns on highs that is a good start.

I did the same as Jims1300 mentioned but have learned with the 125 mains you have more room for adjustment (start at 1 turn out)

both suggestions are very good advice. If you have removed your chokeplates definately go with the 125 mains. I would lean towards the 125's. I have run 120's for 100 hours with no problems and my 1200 is right up there as far as fast goes. There is a little more safety in the 125's though.

50:1 on the oil mixture? That's a little light IMO. I'd run more like 40:1.

Spud knows his stuff, so I'm not disagreeing with him on this - just relaying my personal experience. I think 125's are too rich for your setup. I run 125's with a ported 1300.

Thats good advice right there.. If you remove choke plates and ride the boat really hard you might consider 125m just to be a little safer. Thats whats in mine. Most get the best performance from the 120s though.

First of all what is youe elevaton, and go 32:1 premix.

Spud does not get 93 octene out there so that is probably why he running a bit fatter also

Boggiong up to 5k rpm could be your power valve servo motor acting up also
