    Well, here I go ....

    I am about to undertake the rebuild of my one cylinder on my own. First time for doing anything like this.

    I have the manual, hopefully you all as a resource and limited mechanical knowledge.

    Are there any words of wisdom, cautions, or motivational speeches that you guys can offer ? I mean, it all seems pretty straight forward right ? But that's usually when things go bad ....

    I'm the guy with the broken cylinder (see attached).

    I've got the gasket kit, and piston kit from Watcom (thanks Randy for that CRAZY fast shipping !). I'm still trying to track down the cylinder that was offered to me, but once it's in, it'll get a hone then I'm off to the races, so to speak - right ?

    Sorry to flood the forum with posts about this (I'm sure there will be more to come), but I'm a bit nervous and figure the more I ask the less I can screw up, right ?

    Sounds like anxiety!!!

    Don't worry, you'll get it. There's more info on here than you'll ever find elsewhere. Make sure before you go any further CHECK THE CRANK INDEX.
