    stock air box mods ?

    Guys im looking for information on modifying the stock air box.

    eg. removing the metal screens from the airbox.

    any pros/cons to doing this ?

    anyone got pics ?

    ie. do i need to have an ECU to do it ?

    I always remove the screens when installing a filter on front of the box. No controller needed for filter installation.

    I have some pics at home I can post later.

    Also there is a big elbow you will have to remove from the front of the box.

    That would be part 36 (and it would also remove part 37) ?

    I removed 19,15,36,37 and some others. No problems, but I dont get any water in my ski. If you do then I would leave # 15 in place.

    Some only keep part 17! (and the clamps.....) As long as you have a dry hull.

    I havent tested every possible combanation but 17 is the way I would go. Best rpm out of all I have tested I also kept no 16

    do you use a splash plate ?

    if i keep parts 15 and 16, should i add a decent airfilter (K&N) ?
