    Silicone intercooler piping vs. aluminum

How does the silicone intercooler piping stack up against aluminum??? I know the Piranha kits run the silicone piping. There are 2 main advantages i can think of. One being that they are more flexible. and two that there would be 2 less clamps on each pipe. Any feedback would be great. Have you piranha guys had any problems?? thanks

I would have to guess the silicone ones don't absorb as much heat as aluminum
Either way, aluminum pipes and silicone hoses don't cost as much as they'd like you to think

yeah- they def. arent as expensive as what people think. I found the 3" silicone piping (45 degree bend with 10 inch sides) for $42 each-- thats less than $100 for piping. The aluminum is actually a little cheaper too. Do just 2 45 degree sections work for the intercooler piping???

2 45° sections work for the intercooler I sell..Don't know about the big name brands though.

yeah-- well after looking into a custom one-- i think im just gonna go with the ssautochrome one, due to the price-- doesnt seem to work too bad either. Are you running 2.5" or 3" piping. thanks

Do you guys make a pipe like the one in your pics that would connect the oem supercharger to the throttle body on the scic's w/ stock ic? If so, I'll buy some.
