    HELP!!! PTO Removal?

I'll post more later, but I think my flywheel bolts sheared. I have everything removed from the PTO but it will not come off. It slides out by about an inch and then stops, like it is hanging on something.

I removed all the torx bolts, the thermo, all hoses, and the driveshaft.

Is it possible that the flywheel, or mag or something has dropped down? I can rotate the flywheel with my finger with no resistance.....I need to get this PTO off, HELP!!!

Did you take the motor out or it is still in the hull?

Yes you still need to remove both rear motor mounts and lift the motor from the back enough to fit a 2x4 under the motor real close to the PTO cover but with out touching the PTO cover.

Lurker... you definately have to remove the left mount, but it will clear the right mount. Probably easiest to just remove both.

Oops... just saw Luis' post... what he said

Good point PR... sometimes I goof up the terminology. You have to remove the left motor mount bracket from the block, not the motor mount that is attached to the hull. The right motor mount bracket CAN remain in place but it might be easier during re-assembly to have it removed also.

Darn Luis... you are about a minute ahead of me...
