All you have to do is secure the sc to the service plate lock the gear with the special holding tool and then use a dial indicator torque wrench on the impeller nut and see where the clutch starts to slip.

I wanna say this is in the service manual, but I don't have it on this computer to check.

You hold the gear with the gear holding tool and then use a torque wrench and turn the impeller nut counter clockwise.

you have one of those twist handle click ones? ... check slip from the other side then, the nut on the clutch pack side, instead of the impeller nut.

either way, whether you put your toque wrench on the impeller nut or the nut holding the whole clutch kit together ur still turning the SC shaft... just need to hold the gear still. Depends what kinda guy if are if you wanna test it from the front or test it from the back...

can also check slip moment when the SC is in the ski... take the valve cover off and lock the cam and take the air intake hose off and stick the toque wrench in the SC on the impeller nut

yes sir! the clutch will slip far sooner than you reach the torque spec of both the impeller nut or the clutch kit retaining nut on the other side. So long as you hold the gear steady, you can pick either side to check the slip
