    PRO 1200 Seat Problems

    Hi Guys,

Just got back from a morning playing in big swell. Everything was fine till I hit a big wave as you all know the 1200 likes to land ass first, but today the seat kept coming off, 8 times in 1 ride, one time the seat started floating away

Has anyone else had these problems is it just a case of adjusting the mount?

On the 785 the seat has three clips on it such a better set up than the 1200.

    Cheers,

    Dan

I have the same problem with mine and have tried three different seats. Seems like the seat and the post on the hull dont line up well. I tried moving the latch back but that led to the front of the seat leaking water.

I just have learned to check it after every hard landing to check..

Check at the back of the seat where the handle sits and see if it is cracked where it meets the seat base.
Sometimes the seat base gets distorted and will create the same problem.
I think it was TX who blew one out and came up with a fix.

Is it possible or has anyone done this - can you turn the release latch on the seat upside down so you have to push it down instead of lifting it up?

I have a 2000 pro 12, and the seat kept falling off happened to me many
times while jumping surf, I swamped it one day and ended up on the beach
with a stupid tourists giving me advice.

The hawaii tow in surfers use straps, i' ve seen pictures on web sites.
So I made a strap, 2" wide, 2 loops sewed on each end, a quick snap
buckle, and just remove the rear handle slip the loops through and
reattach the handle. I can take pictures if you like.

Your seat will not fall off again!! I caught a big one last weekend,
came in backwards upside down, rolling up windows, all ok.

My question is how do keep you fire ext. from knocking the red container
top off, and then pounding around?

    smoke,

    Hi Smoke,

If you could post some pictures that would be great

I am not to sure what you mean about the front hatch, I have never had a problem with it, if you could take some pictures of it, I might be able to tell you.

Cheers for your help, the last thing I need is for my ski to sink because of the seat

    Thanks,

    Dan.

    Hi ph2ocraft,

I checked the seat base like you said and it is cracked, only on one side though. Does this mean I have to get another seat?

    Hopefully, smoke's suggestion will work

    Cheers guys.
