    4tec oil over fill

What happens if you overfill the oil on a 4tec engine, does it affect performance?

you lose a couple of hundred rpm and get massive blowby which puts oil everywhere in the intake tract.

Yup, I pulled out about half a quart the other day out of mine. I overfill it over storage and never got around to pulling the extra out. I pulled out about half a quart gained about 100 rpm

I have a 2006 rxp. I just got done rebuilding the engine and was wondering how much oil is needed for a bone dry engine? I put 4 quarts in and it dosent even touch the stick! Thanks

Could it cause vibration and a louder exhaust?

Did you cycle the oil by starting the engine and running it for 30 seconds?

There dosent seem to be any. my brother in law sank it last year and the insurance didnt cover it. This is after the dealer took it all apart. So like I said the motor was dry no oil what so ever in it.

Did your antifreeze level in the bottle/tank rise? based on this info, I would think there are misaligned gaskets or crack somewhere...

did you add another quart to make it a total of 5 qts just to see if you see any oil on the Dip stick?...PR...
